Map data, flags, place names, terrain and fonts used by MapGuesser, with their licences.
Data and licences
- Boundaries: amCharts geodata (free licence, attribution required), simplified with mapshaper. Reference boundaries from Natural Earth (public domain) and geoBoundaries (CC BY 4.0).
- Flags: flagcdn / Flagpedia; flag designs are public domain.
- Capitals, cities and natural features: Natural Earth (public domain).
- Terrain basemap: AWS Open Data Terrain Tiles (Terrarium; SRTM, GMTED, ETOPO), used by Draw the Region on web and in the Android app.
- Country facts: population and GDP from Natural Earth (public domain); borders and some names from world-countries (ODbL 1.0). The derived fact sheet is shared under ODbL.
- Typefaces: Fredoka, Nunito, Cairo and Hind — SIL Open Font License 1.1.
- Map rendering: Leaflet 1.9.4 (BSD-2-Clause).
