Knowing a capital is one thing; knowing where it is is another. This mode names a capital and asks you to drop a pin on the map. Your score decays with distance, so a near miss still counts.
How it works
- Read the capital name.
- Tap the map to drop your pin, then adjust it if needed.
- Press GUESS to see the real location and your distance.
- Five rounds make a game; harder levels shrink the tolerance.
How is the capital quiz scored?
Points fall exponentially with distance: 5,000 × e^(−distance km / 1,500), rounded.
How close do I need to be?
A round counts as correct within 400 km of the real location.
Are all capitals included?
199 countries have a capital point in the bundled data.
Does it work offline?
After the first load the map and data are cached, so practice rounds work offline.
